1. The data controller, according to Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the “GDPR”), is TechCompo Automotive Ltd. 3. Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is someone who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that person.

4. The Controller has not appointed a Data Protection Officer.   

Categories of Personal Data Processed

The Controller may process the following categories of personal data: name, phone number, email address, age and, where applicable, postal address. Data is processed solely for the purpose of communication, event registrations and sending newsletters.

  • Purposes of processing:
    • Contractual relationship: This includes any relationship between you and the Controller based on an order, registration, concluded contract, event participation, or similar arrangements.
    • Statistical purposes: This involves anonymised data collection on website traffic, page views, time spent on the site, and device type. These statistics help improve services and content relevance.
    • Legal obligations: Data may be processed when required by law to fulfill legal duties.

  • Data: Name, email, and any other information you voluntarily provide.
  • Purpose: Responding to your inquiry and communication regarding our services.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry; if the inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, also Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking steps prior to entering into a contract).
  • Nature of data provision: voluntary; however, without an e-mail address we are unable to reply to you.

2. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

  • Data: Anonymised data on website visits, user behaviour, and technical parameters (e.g., device, browser).
  • Purpose: Website and service improvement.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent given via the cookie banner.

3. CAPTCHA

  • Used to protect the website from spam.
  • Data: IP address and other information necessary to verify that the user is human.
  • Processor: Google Ireland Limited.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in protecting the website from misuse and spam.
  • Data Retention Period – Your personal data is processed only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned above or as required by law. For general communication, data will be processed until you request deletion. Otherwise, the retention period depends on the purpose or applicable legal requirements.
  • Data is processed both manually and automatically. Automated processing may be used, for example, for generating website traffic statistics.
  • Data Processed Based on Consent
    • If we have obtained your consent, it may be for the following purposes:
      • Contacting us via the contact form
      • Receiving newsletters by email upon your subscription request
      • Registering for activities organised by the Controller

4. Anti-Spam Protection (Antispam Bee)

  • The website uses the Antispam Bee plugin for spam protection.
  • Data: IP address, comment/form details (e.g., name, email), and technical metadata.
  • Processor: The plugin runs on our server and data is not sent outside the EU.
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in ensuring secure communication.

Description of the legitimate interest: the legitimate interest is to secure the website, ensure smooth communication with customers, and present our services. Before each processing operation, we carry out a balancing test (Legitimate Interest Assessment).

The controller does not carry out any decision-making based solely on automated processing of personal data, nor any profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

Your Rights

  • You have the following rights under applicable data protection laws:
    • Right of access: You have the right to know whether we process your personal data and to request details under Article 15 of the GDPR.
    • Right to rectification and erasure: You may request correction of inaccurate data or deletion of your data if it is no longer needed or processed unlawfully. Alternatively, you may request restricted processing instead of deletion.
    • Right to explanation: If you suspect your data is being processed unlawfully, you have the right to request clarification.

    • Right to data portability: You may request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (Article 20 GDPR).
    • Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interest or public interest. Processing will be stopped unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
    • Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Cookies

  • Cookies are small text files stored by your browser that allow the website to remember your visit and settings, such as language preferences. Cookies make your experience on our website easier and more efficient.
  • Types of cookies used:
    • Session cookies: Temporary cookies that link your activities during a single browsing session. These are deleted when you close your browser.
    • Persistent cookies: These help recognise your device on subsequent visits and customise the website according to your preferences.

Transfer of personal data outside the EEA

In connection with the use of Google services (Google Analytics 4, Google reCAPTCHA), personal data may be transferred to Google LLC, Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
The transfer takes place on the basis of

  • standard contractual clauses pursuant to Commission Decision (EU) 2021/914; and
  • EU-US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission decision of 10 July 2023), which ensure an adequate level of protection. We will provide you with a copy of the safeguards upon request.
